lol, i'm not really surprised though. You went w/ with what anet probably treats as a farming duo. Try it with a group of maximum number of players (6?) - eg. a pug or henchies, I'm curious if you still get the same AI behavior

All I know is what I've seen in UW/FOW/NF and I always go with a full party when adventuring, either with pugs, or heroes/henchies or some combo thereof.

Try this just to see how the AI is broken...

Take Koss, set as Battlerage warrior. W/Mo. Give him Succor for you and another Caster. Have him cast it on you...watch it disappear faster then it was casted on you.... idiot Koss... YOU DONT NEED ENERGY!

Dunkaro can't even bond you... his energy management is so good, he can't stand that... oh but wait.... it ISN'T! He cancels WoH or Blessed light CONSTANTLY! Give him heal party, watch him cast it, cancel, cast, cancel, cast, cancel... oh wait... you don't have any energy anymore... IDIOT! Your energy management SUX.... Fix it Anet, your AI upgrade was more of a downgrade if anything...

ya the same result happens even with a large group of players..

the ai is just scatterd.. there is no possible way to hold onto aggro and do damage at the same time..

not snare.
not slowdown.
not cripple.
not knockdown.

they just scatter when they either take to much damage.. or see any spell that effects multiple targets.. and i do mean SEE 90 percent of the time your aoe spell is wasted on a scatter group the instant you cast..

I think its bugged, I being a warrior, have never seen agroing going this easily, i mean wow its kinda hard to keep up with the stances with like 938920 people all attacking me and me trying to give out damage too, however i can do it cause i pwn like that, but still, i find it weird, but then again, my jobs easier because all i have to do is ball them up and wait for nukers to tripple echo nuke them with freaking meteor (gg heros) and thats it, next group >.> to easy

maybe its just me >< they stay on me through nukes and all

Just a heads up. They did something to the AI once again in the last update... (just a few mins ago) and now, the mobs no longer primary target tanks. In fact, they ignore tanks and go straight for the casters. I have tested this at The Mirror of Lyss vs the Dijin's (sp) and the henches got their ass handed to them in a few secs. I managed to get away with sprint...

Ya, I noticed that too. At first I didn't mind the AI change since my tank can finally do the job of tanking, but now they changed it back to the annoying beeline for monk aggro from before, and the AI flaws became much more obvious. Their melee beeline our monk, our warrior chase after their casters running backward = our monk/caster left to fend for themselves far far back from the warrior = bad.

Initial impressions of the 10/31 update can be found in the new thread called something like :

AI Changes for monster/henchmen 10/31..for the worse?

Initial impressions are that everything no longer attacks warriors - but in fact warriors can't hold any agro and everyone must kite continually.

.... So I guess that this answers the question that they're still working on the AI

The target enemy, and the guy right behind him, are part of the second spawn. The second spawn was over 20 radar ranges away from where that screen is taken.

The AI needs to be fixed, this is a huge failure on anet's part.
